On a snowy day on the 8th March 1987 the main frame of the Society's Flamsteed Observatory was transported to the site and erected. Eight members put the 5m x 5m structure together in 4 hours and another significant part of the site was complete.  Photos by Neil Breakwell.  More on the history of the Flamsteed Observatory may be found here...
