Jim Sarsgard took this picture of Venus and Mercury on the evening of the 5th March 2025. Jim used a Canon 1000D camera with a 50 mm lens at f/2. The exposure was 1/60 second at ISO 1600. Brightness and contrast were adjusted in FastStone. Jim comments that the challenge was making Mercury visible without overexposing the rest of the photograph. Image Credit: Jim Sarsgard.

The following image of Venus was captured by Chris Callaway on the 3rd February 2025. Chris used an 8" Meade LX200, AVX mount, ZWO ASI178MC camera and PowerMate 2.5x extender.
