This image of the Needle Galaxy (Caldwell 38 or NGC 4565) was captured by Peter Branson on March 18th 2025 and produced from 39 x 60 second images taken with a new ZWO ASI585MC colour camera attached to a Celestron C9.25 Schmitt-Cassegrain telescope, mounted on a SkyWatcher NEQ6 mount. The set of images was stacked in Nebulosity and imported into PixInsight for further processing and sharpening. Peter says: "Better framing of this galaxy along the diagonal would capture it's full extent - next time maybe!" Image Credit: Peter Branson.
